The division of CNC machining processes can generally be carried out in the following ways:
(1) The tool concentration sorting method is to divide the process according to the tool used, and process all the parts that can be completed with the same tool. With a second knife, and a third, complete the rest of what they can do. In this way, the number of tool changes can be reduced, airtime can be compressed, and unnecessary positioning errors can be reduced.
(2) For parts with a lot of processing content, the processing part can be divided into several parts according to its structural characteristics, such as internal shape, shape, surface or plane. In general, the planar and localised surfaces are treated first, followed by the holes. Simple geometries are treated first, then complex geometries; The parts with lower accuracy are processed first, and then the parts with higher accuracy requirements are processed.
(3) For parts prone to processing deformation, due to the deformation that may occur after rough processing, the shape needs to be calibrated, so in general, where rough and finish processing should be separated.
In summary, when partitioning processes, we have to rely on the structure and process of the parts, the function of the machine tool, the number of parts processed by the CNC, the number of installations, and the production organization of the unit. It has also been suggested that the principle of concentration of process or of dispersion of process should be determined in accordance with the actual situation, but it must be reasonable.
