The materials generally used in sheet metal processing are cold rolled sheet (SPCC), hot rolled sheet (SHCC), galvanised sheet (SECC, SGCC), copper (CU) brass, copper violet, copper beryllium, aluminium (6061, 6063, duralumin, etc.), aluminium profiles, stainless steel (mirror, brushed surface, matte surface).
As the role of the product is different, the choice of material is different, generally need to be considered from the product of its use and cost.
1, Cold-rolled plate SPCC: the surface treatment is usually electroplating and painting. Low cost, easy to form, material thickness less than 3.2mm.
2, Hot-rolled sheet SHCC, material thickness more than 3.0mm, surface treatment mainly is electroplating and baking paint. Low cost, but difficult to form, usually used for flat parts.
3, Galvanised sheet SECC, SGCC: SECC electrolytic sheet divided into N material, P material, N material is generally without any surface treatment, high cost; P material is usually with painting surface treatment.
4. Copper: mainly used for conductive role of the material, its surface treatment is nickel-plated, chrome-plated or no treatment, high cost.
5. Aluminium plate: general surface coating chromate (J11-A), anodization (conductive anodization, chemical anodization), high cost, can also be silver-plated, nickel-plated and so on.
6. aluminium profiles: used as a complex cross-sectional structure of the material, a large number of boxes used in a variety of inserts. Surface treatments are as same as aluminium plate.
7. Stainless steel: usually without any surface treatment, high cost.
